A softly shaded sencha of luminous sweetness and quiet grace
Akari is a rare kabuse sencha made from the Tsuyuhikari cultivar, a delicate variety known for its fresh, fruity aroma and refined sweetness.
Shaded for one to two weeks before harvest and then deep-steamed, the leaves develop higher levels of amino acids while keeping bitterness remarkably low.
This results in a mellow, umami-rich cup with a vivid green colour and a smooth, elegant texture.
Gentle yet expressive, Akari balances fruity brightness with calm clarity —
a tea that brings warmth and quiet optimism.

How to Enjoy

Origin
Numazu, Shizuoka — where Mt Fuji meets the sea.
Grown slowly in misty tea fields and nourished by mineral-rich underground water flowing from Mt Fuji’s foothills.
